Get The Most From Your Vacation On Kauai

Kaua'i is a fantastic vacation destination, away from the busy part of our lives and the throbbing pulse of our cities. Kauai offers serenity and peaceful settings in tropical paradise. And while good vacations do take a little planning, some of the best vacations are ones with the least planning so that we can better leave the hustle and bustle behind.

1. Relax... you're on vacation

2. Try the restaurants and eateries the locals frequent

Of course we all understand that flying all the way to Kauai and then eating at McDonalds or other chain restaurants might not be the best decision when attempting to get the most from our vacation experience. But once on the island, how can we know which places the local natives enjoy? Here's a great way to find out... ask the locals. When at the local Farmers Market or Hawaiian shirt store, ask the employees where they go for the best Hawaiian Lau Lau Pork, or the best Kalua Pig. Ask around for the best restaurants that the locals frequent, and then go to the places where the recipes include preparation in banana leaves, ti leaves or an earthen imu oven. In fact, tourists can find incredible food at the popular Luaus too. Kauai condo vacations even has a booklet of suggestions in their condos.

3. Go to a Luau

Yes, luau's can be the "touristy" thing to do but the food can be authentic and delicious and the entertainment exciting. And you're sure to run into a few locals too. Good choices in Luaus are the Smith Family Garden Luau (close to the condos and on the Wailua River), Luau Kalamaku  at the Kilohana Estate and the Grand Hyatt Luau in Poipu.

Wear your Hawaiian and Aloha shirts

One of the best places to purchase a dazzling Hawaiian shirt is the Coconut Market Place, right next door to your condominium at Kauai Condo Vacations. Another good place... the Kauai Products Fair a little ways further up the shore along the multiuse path. While in Kauai, do what the islanders do
and wear your Hawaiian shirts.
AND MOST OF ALL RELAX !!!

Aloha!
